When an upgrade has begun a running commentary is displayed in the window labelled Status. The commentary that appears in this window may also include instructions to the user, such as the following.
“Please remove and re-apply power to the unit.”
The upgrade will only continue once the user has performed the instruction.
The user is informed via a message box when an upgrade has completed. All upgrade commentaries are version stamped and time stamped (version stamped means an upgrade commentary contains the version of HSM 8000 Image Loader that generated it).
The Status window can be cleared of the last upgrade commentary by clicking the Clear button. The commentary can be saved to a file by clicking the Save button. When this button is clicked the user is presented with the following dialog box (see Figure 4 below):

Type the pathname for the log file or click on the Browse button to select an existing log file.
